The Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus are Dual SIM (Nano) smartphones that run MIUI 9 on top of Android Nougat. Xiaomi Redmi 5 sports 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels resolution) display, Under the hood, is a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 450 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. In China, the Redmi 5 is available in three variants. while The Redmi 5 Plus comes with a bigger 5.99-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels resolution) display – both device with an 18:9 aspect ratio display.

The Redmi 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 450 SoC, coupled with 2GB / 3GB / 4GB RAM and 16GB / 32GB internal storage. The Redmi 5 Plus is powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC processor clocked at 2.0GHz Adreno 506 GPU coupled with 3GB / 4GB and 32GB / 64GB of inbuilt storage. Redmi 5 Plus was launched in China in two storage options – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage.

The Redmi 5 comes with a 3300mAh battery & another side Redmi Note 5 Plus comes with a 4000mAh battery. The phone runs to MIUI 9 which is based on Android Nougat.
